Nick had spent nine years trying to make people understand what a stroke takes from a life. The film travelled:
I have always been skeptical about using video to get the right message across, especially with the emergence of platforms like TikTok. However, with Jason’s attention to detail and passion in creating an experience using video content to capture exactly what it is that we do that makes us truly special. He nailed it!
After my experience of stroke which led me to start a registered charity, it has always been hard to get the message across and educate others regarding the impact a stroke can have on someone’s life. However, Jason and Rhodon Films, I have to say that the experience was seamless, he took time to really get to know what it is that we do, he visited our drop-ins to gain a personal insight and understanding. He then worked on an idea, came up with a script which allowed everyone who featured in the film to be authentic. Again he nailed it!
I really wanted to truly get a celebration of 9 years since forming the charity conveyed to any audience and guess what? They nailed it!
The video even reached a former premier league football player, who’s relative has recently had a stroke that we are now helping, that’s the power of video.

“I’m not a fan of being on camera”
Almost nobody who stands in front of our camera wanted to be there at the start. Here’s how that tends to end:
When I wanted to get a video done to promote my business events I was really nervous….. (I am not a fan of listening to myself in videos / photos etc and so it was a real challenge for me.)
I really shouldn’t have worried…. Jason put me right at ease, he wrote me a script, gave me time to practice, positioned me so I would feel comfortable … explained the process and advised on different takes and angles which would work well.
The final film itself was over and above what I expected including different edits for social channels sized and ready to use. The whole process really exceeded my expectations and brought to life what I do so I finally have something I am happy to use.

When i discussed what we were looking for with Jason he told me that they always do a professional job and I could see that from the examples on their website. But, what I hadn’t grasped at all was how they would transform what seemed to me to be a bit of a collection of haphazard interviews on our part.
We really should have prepared more and understood what we were getting into better, especially mine as someone still pretty scared of any kind of camera let alone something like this, through some kind of magical process, that i can only describe as a minor miracle. Or, if maybe not quite a miracle, what must have taken an incredible amount of passionate hard work to pull everything together into the final compelling result that tells our story better than I could have ever imagined. Wow.
In the past I have seen enough to know that trying to do any kind of filming in house tends to produce something that is very amateurish. I can’t even compare what Rhodon films have done for us with what I have seen before, the quality of their work belongs on TV or the big screen.
