We started Rhodon Films because great video was only for big brands. That seemed wrong.
Rhodon Films began on the set of an Iceland Christmas advert, Jason art directing, Paul behind the camera.
At the time, Jason had a side venture: a chocolate company built with a Michelin-trained pastry chef. The chocolate was exceptional. But nothing they could afford, photos, flyers, words, came close to showing it. The craft was invisible.
Then DSLR cameras started appearing on film sets, and Jason asked Paul a question that would become a business: could this new kit make a proper film, for a small company, on a small budget?
The chocolate film they made wasn’t perfect. But it proved something that stuck with both of us: the storytelling techniques big brands use to win trust, script, emotion, craft, don’t need a big brand’s budget. They need people who know how to use them.
That’s what Rhodon Films has been ever since: a video production company in Manchester bringing TV-advertising discipline to businesses that were never supposed to afford it. Fifteen years of sets and screens, now pointed at SMEs with something worth showing.

Jason
Jason, the son of an artist, has always had a passion for imagery. He honed his skills in branding as a manager for top retailers before being recognised by top brands for his eye for detail and enthusiasm for life. Seeking a new challenge, he ventured into TV production and worked his way up to becoming a Production Designer for national TV ads and films. He also used his branding expertise to launch a successful chocolate brand with his former partner, which was sold at top retailers and served in prestigious venues across the North West. Through this experience, he realised the importance of effectively communicating a business’s unique value to stand out from competitors. Now, as a Director, he helps businesses use the power of moving images to expand their reach.
Paul
As a seasoned filmmaker with a passion for visual storytelling and a wealth of experience in the film and television industries. Paul has honed his skills in both the camera and-post production departments. His diverse portfolio includes advertising (Rolex, Ferrari, Adidas, Procter & Gamble), dramas, features, and documentaries.
Paul is committed to craft and has a keen eye for detail. He uses the skills he has acquired over the years to create engaging visual stories, and he strives to bring fresh and dynamic perspectives to every project he takes on. He believes that his expertise and dedication help him create exceptional visual content for our clients.
